Dear Ebrahem,

Thank you for the quick reply!

Seeing your online user figures, I presume you are going to segment your wifi users via different Internet connections.

Each connection should get a gateway (with fallback option), handling thousands of concurrent users.
With this volumen I presume you are not using VSAT technology, but instead multiple connections to your local ISP Sahanet
and maybe others.

We recommend Mikrotik's RouterOS in connection with a x86 server platform as the pointHotspot.com gateway.

As mentioned, pointHotspot.com is a web-based solution, including all of our redundant authentication servers.
In your case we can offer you to install a redundant authentication server setup. You provide the servers and we
provide the software and installation services. Or we keep the authentication servers on our side.

We would install a dedicated version of pointHotspot.com on our servers for you to manage your users from anywhere
in the world.

What do you need for the test setup: (pointHotspot.com Gateway)
1. x86 PC/server (no Windows etc.) with min. 2 ethernet interfaces (LAN/WAN and WLAN)
2. RouterOS (no Windows etc, RouterOS will install directly on disk, 24h demo available) http://www.mikrotik.com/software.html
(unlimited controller license from Mikrotik is US$ 250.00 per gateway)
3. pointHotspot.com account on our servers
4. Wifi network (access points) to be connected to the WLAN port of the RouterOS/pointHotspot.com gateway

With above setup you can use any wifi access point you want. The important part is that the RouterOS/pointHotspot gateway
is the DHCP server for that wifi segment and the access point does not act as DHCP server.

As to your questions:
- The Standard pointHotspot Package is not really for WISP, but for smaller installations
- No 50 ticket limits for WISP!

I hope this answers most of your questions.

Regards,
Gunther Richter
